Low-tech hissless noise cancelling is great.
We purchased these for my father who uses them primarily when he mows the lawn. I have an active noise cancelling set which I don't like for several reasons. Headphones work almost too well
The Koss QZ5 Noise Reduction headphones work almost too well. I bought them for office use, but with a moderate music volume I find external noise is blocked to the point I can't hear my own phone ring.
