Panacea Log Tote with Stand

Panacea Productions Corporation's Log Tote with Stand is a decorative, useful item if burning wood in a fireplace or wood burning stove.

For the duration that we heated our house chiefly with fireplace; trips to and from the firewood stack were frequent. Our house here in Oklahoma has one of the nicest fireplaces, and certainly the best wood box of any of the houses in which I have lived as an adult.

Nonetheless, huge wood box or not, and this one is, it has the same dimension as the fireplace itself; from fall through winter, we still made many trips to and from the firewood pile. Setting this Tote with Frame on the end of the hearth was a great help until we found it necessary to stop using the fireplace. Poor quality firewood coupled with allergies changed our heating methodology. I miss the snap and crackle of dancing flame, but do not miss the congestion and misery.

I did find that Panacea's Log Tote, when filled with cut wood, is a tad heavy for me to carry. On the other hand, Husband and grown Son, both large men, were able to fill the tote and carry a good quantity of wood into the house without making so many trips.

While the tote is advertised as handy to place on the frame and then move to a convenient spot by the fireplace, I did not.

Once the wood box was filled we put the tote on the rack and moved the whole to the far end of the raised hearth, in front of the wood box and well away from the fireplace.

My Panacea tote is handy for carrying loads of wood to the wood box, as well as for keeping a ready supply of wood close at hand. To use Tote with Frame, slip the handles over the end of the frame.
