The Bottom Line:
This product worked a miracle for my roses.
I inherited an ugly, puny rose when we moved into our current home five years ago. Not having much experience with roses, I thought for a couple of years that the black spots on the leaves during flowering were bugs. Well, after educating myself and much practice, I have finally found a product that takes care of those bug bites, which of course turned out to be black spots from disease. Turns out that is common around here with roses.
RosePride Insect & Disease Control has turned out to be a miracle worker. After trying many different things over the years with no success, I have learned that RosePride actually does work! It is wonderful!
The product
At the first sight of warm weather, I spayed the product in the aerosol type can on my roses. The directions said to spray plants prior to seeing black spots. I did and I have applied it every 7-10 days since. The result has been a climbing rose with maybe one or two spots on the whole thing and it has more green leaves, by far than ever before. I haven't been this excited about a product in a while and I have told everyone in my family that owns roses.
The can provides great coverage, just make sure you spray the entire plant. I spray from top to about one foot from the ground.
From RosePride Insect & Disease Control
Spray when first sign of disease appears. Apply every 7-10 days if disease conditions persist.
Where to Use
Roses, flowers, shrubs and shade trees. People and pets may enter treated area after spray has dried.
The product claims to control the following
Black spot, powdery mildew and rust on Roses - Powdery mildew on azalea, begonia, delphinium, kalanchoe, planetree, calendula, crapemyrtle, dahlia, eunoymus, Jeruselem thorn, lilac, phlox, photinia, snapdragons and zinnias - Entomosphorium leaf spot on photinia - Azalea petal blight on azaleas and rhododendrons - Rust on oxalis, poplars and planetrees - Aster rust on asters - Carnation rust on carnations
The Logistics
For around $8 (WORTH EVERY PENNY) you get a 14 ounce aerosol can of RosePride. Even as much as I have been using it, the product is still lasting. I have totally used this on almost all of the greenery in my yard such as bushes that leaves turn color for no reason, my Hosta, etc.
My three different roses (don't know the names) are doing absolutely better than ever before. They have flourished beyond my expectations!
Extras
***Cautions - For use on non-edible plants only.
***Active Ingredients: 6.5% Triforine
***WARNING: The smell is totally horrible. It smells like a really potent bug spray, so make sure you stand up wind or use a mask. I would also suggest washing your hands right after use.
