When your rap career hasn't risen to platinum, go for the gold

byin-dependent Aug 7, 2003

Pros Everything
Cons Nothing, obviously
Recommended it? Yes

With personal CD players, you get what you pay for. With the D-E350 you are paying for headphones, continuous skip protection, bass boost, repeat and shuffle functions, and a hold button. That's it. If you want more, you better be willing to spend more than $60. Really though, what more do you... Read full review »

Pros Sound, design, headphones, battery life.
Cons Durability.
Recommended it? Yes

I'm a music freak. Therefore, I have to listen to some anywhere I go. And that's why I needed a good (and urgent) replacement for my Phillips CD player that broke down after 5 years of constant (rude) use.

After a week of unsuccessfully scanning the local electronics stores seeking a good... Read full review »

22 Helpfuls 23 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros durable, long battery life, good sound quality
Cons tad expensive, doesn't play MP3's
Recommended it? Yes

I had planned on giving this discman only four stars but then I really thought it through and I couldn't come up with a really good reason NOT to give it the full five stars.

When you're shopping for a discman what are you looking for? Lots of features, good battery life, sleek design,... Read full review »

Pros Great bass, easy to use.
Cons Stops abruptly, won't last you longer than two years.
Recommended it? Yes

Since the beginning of my freshman year, I've been carrying a Sony CD player with me to and from school- not the one I'm reviewing in particular, but always something from Sony. And since I've been carrying one with me for so long, I've grown an attachment of sorts to it, getting very angry when I... Read full review »

Pros Great Sound; Battery Life; Headphones
Cons No pause feature; Battery meter
Recommended it? Yes

I picked up my D-E350 at Best Buy for $45. My old RCA CD player had stopped working after only a couple months, so I decided to go with a player from the more reliable Sony. First off, the sound from this player is great. There is no static or other noises to worry about. The behind-the-neck... Read full review »

Pros Ease of use, Durability, Excellent sound quality
Cons No MP3 support
Recommended it? Yes

I've owned a number of Sony CD players over time, but this one stands out far above the rest. The quality of the sound, sleek design, and ease of use earns it five stars.
During my two years of owning it, its been beaten, dropped, and whacked, but it still works like new, if not a little... Read full review »

Sony Makes Another Quality Product

byschwarztech Jul 2, 2002
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Inexpensive, excellent quality, lots of features, CD-RW compatible
Cons ESP switch located inside CD compartment
Recommended it? Yes

When my Aiwa CD player died, I decided it was time to replace it. I looked at lots of models, but didn't want to spend a lot. I needed the ability to play back CD-RWs, since that's what I primarily use. My parents have an old Sony Discman from back when they were first introduced and it still works... Read full review »

Pros This CD Player takes a licking and keeps on ticking!
Cons No "Random" play selection.

As a young adult who does not own a car at the present time, I require some sort of Walkman to listen to music while traveling. This Walkman has lived through quite a test by being owned by me for nearly a year. Usually, when I buy a portable CD player, I expect it only to have a life of possibly... Read full review »

Another Sony Product

byhotsalce1 Feb 19, 2003
3 Helpfuls 4 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros not terribly expensive
Cons nothing that really sets it apart
Recommended it? Yes

The Sony CD Walkman D-E350 is sufficient for what I needed and wanted. The ESP creates a no-jumping CD player no matter what is happening.

It is compact and pretty light, and it has a pretty easy to use panel. There is a menu that can be toggled between 1 track repeat, all tracks repeat,... Read full review »
