Pros Sony quality that you'd expect. Good reception for radio/TV stations
Cons Station LED could be larger, and easier to view.
Recommended it? Yes

INTRO:
At work we use to have a boom box we all listened to. However, one guy likes the Edge, another likes the Bone, and myself I like WildOn. So we all like different radio stations, and would find ourselves in this daily radio battle. Eventually, the guy who owned the boom box took it home... Read full review »

Pros Small size, electronic tuning
Cons Lack of electronic volume control, hard to use while moving

I bought this specifically to use while jogging. I usually run in the evening, which means that during the Maine winter it is dark and cold. I thought that listening to the radio would divert my attention from the cold and ice. It did capture my attention, but mainly because it is so difficult to... Read full review »

I really like it for cycling! Great reception!

Pros Weather Band, Lock, Digital Tuning, Many presets
Cons Not so great reception indoors, cube-mate borrows it to listen to TV soaps.
Recommended it? Yes

I really like this radio. I commute to work on my bike in Phoenix, Arizona, well rather I start in El Mirage, and go through Glendale, Peoria, and finish in Phoenix. 20.3 miles one way. El Mirage is out of town, great reception out there.

I don't use the arm-band, but it seemed to work if... Read full review »

A Tiny Little Troublesome Radio

Cons Poor design, awkward volume button, upside down belt clip, embarrassing reception, clumsy...

I move around a lot. I walk to work, cycle, and work out at the local YMCA. So when it came time to retire my old walkman and pick up something more portable, I chose the Sony SRF-M80V Personal Radio. Sony's design is definitely compact, but that is the extent of the pleasing features associated... Read full review »

Not even worth listening to.

Pros Small, light, convenient.
Cons High price, absurdly poor reception.

This is the second Sony Walkman product I have owned. The first was an analog device which I lost recently; and now this one, with a digital tuner. In both cases, I found the reception to be poor. The headphone cord seems to serve as part of the tuner and must be fully outstretched to optimize (and... Read full review »

I bought this radio primarily for use while walking and running, and in the application it has served me fairly well (at least well enough that I do not feel a need to replace it with another model).

Let's start with the positives. You'll notice right away that this is a small unit, and... Read full review »

I have had my Sony since August 2002. It has accompanied me on countless runs.

Far inferior to the previous Sony version

Pros Good reception; comfortable headphones; lock.
Cons Controls are difficult to reach, strap difficult to use and slips....

I use this radio when running, but I'm very disappointed with this model. I bought it about 18 months ago, when the prior one was too damaged from my many falls! The problems with this are so basic I wonder if Sony ever actually tested it on a runner before marketing it. The armband is not the... Read full review »

Pros Size, weight, style, sound, Mega Bass, stopwatch...
Cons More color options would be nice

I purchased this radio a few days ago and haven't found a problem with it yet. The sound is truly amazing for a radio signal, and static is almost never heard. The radio featurs AM, FM1 and FM2, plus TV and Weather channels. It also has a stopwatch which comes in handy. The player itself is layed... Read full review »
